This trip includes 3 nights and 4 days in Morocco. Take a trek through the desert from Marrakech to the Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga, where you can sample Saharan tea, meet nomads who live in caves, and go hiking in the Dades Valley and Todra Gorges. For a trip from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert, we advise booking at least 4 days in advance so you can take in the sights along the route. In addition to camel riding and an overnight stay in a Berber camp, the 4-day journey from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert and back to Marrakech is highly recommended (Bivouac).

Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech - Tizi N'Tichka - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades valley
We will arrive early to take you up from your lodging. From Marrakech, you will go to Dades Gorges. You may see expansive mountain vistas as you go via the Tizi N'Tichka Atlas pass on your way to Telouet, a traditional High Atlas Berber settlement. We'll keep traveling and stop at the magnificent walled town known as Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate, you will eat lunch before continuing to Dades Valley. You'll spend the night at Dades Gorge.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Jorf - Erfoud - Merzouga
We will go from Dades Gorges to Merzouga's Erg Chebbi Sahara desert after breakfast. The route here has a number of isolated Berber communities. As we go through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, we will start to encounter the Tafilalet Saharan oasis. We'll keep going to the desert of Merzouga. We will ride the camels waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes after taking a short break in Merzouga. In the heart of the Sahara, we will spend the night in a camp of nomadic Berber tents and music. Use your camera to capture the nighttime desert or the dawn and sunset.
Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Nkob - Ouarzazate
We finish breakfast and ride camels back to Merzouga after seeing the sunrise. You will be able to take a shower in the hotel or riad once we get there. Then, we will begin our journey via the Berber settlements and chain of Atlas Mountains to the city of Ouarzazate (Tinjdad, Tinghir Todra gorges, Boumalene Dades). We'll stop for a break so that we may eat lunch at Dades Valley. Then we carry on to Ouarzazate, where we will arrive in the evening about six o'clock and spend the night.
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Berber Villages - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
We go for Marrakech from Ouarzazate in the morning. We are going to the Ait Benhaddou UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a fortified fortress and the most spectacular Kasbah in all of Morocco. Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator were filmed here. We depart from Ait Benhaddou and travel towards the spectacular Atlas Mountains, passing over Tizi N'Tichka, the highest pass in Morocco at 2260 meters, which offers breathtaking views of nearby Berber communities, mountains, and valleys. The journey comes to a conclusion when we arrive in the evening in Marrakech, where we drop you off at your hotel.
