Day 1: Marrakech Ouarzazate Skoura Dades Valley
Your driver will pick you up at your hotel's reception at 8:00 am and take you to Telouet, a traditional High Atlas Berber village, before taking you on a guided tour of the Kasbah of el Glaoui, a former warlord and Pasha of Marrakech, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Continue to Ait Benhaddou to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village (Ksour).you take your lunch at Ait benhaddou and continue to Ouarzazate, To Skoura Palmerie for a guided tour of the partially renovated Kasbah d’Imridil. Pass through Rose Valley (Kelaa Mgouna) and, in spring time, buy a fragrant garland of roses from one of the Berber children that line the route. Leave the main route at Boumalne Dades to drive along the Dades Gorge past ruined hilltop Kasbahs, valley-floor gardens and the strange rock formations of the Tamnalt Hills,then arrive to Dades Gorges.Overnight in Ksar sultan Dades hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Dades Gorges to Merzouga via Todra Gorges Camel trek
Transfer to Merzouga at 8:00 am via Todra gorges, the highest oasis valley gorge in Morocco with 300m sheer cliffs and a mouth just 20m wide. Pause, as you drive along this verdant valley-floor to take photographs and, in late summer when the oasis palms are heavy with fruit, taste the succulent dates offered for sale in hand-woven palm baskets by Berber children. Arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes where your guide and camels will take you across the sandy dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. Camel trek at sunset for 1-2 hrs to reach a nomad-tented camp where the camels are hobbled, mint tea is served and dinner is freshly prepared by your guide and served under the stars. Camel trek on Half Board (evening meal and breakfast included) Overnight in a luxury Desert Camp.
Day 3: Merzouga to Fez via Ziz valley, the Cedar Forest
Rise early to climb a dune and, in the pre-dawn stillness, wait for the sunrise. Return to camp and camel trek back across the dunes to take shower, breakfast, and then depart to Fez via the Ziz Valley and Ziz Gorges and cedar forest where Barbary apes live, and during this beautiful road you will see the nomads in their tents, than you will have your lunch in a Berber café in Azrou, than you pass by the nice city of Ifran, it’s a beautiful city, the people call it Switzerland of Morocco. In the winter the snow hides this city during 6 or 8 months, really it’s a fantastic city. Drop off at your accommodation in Fez.
